Nomadic Tribes have lot to give but only negative is highlighted

In conversation with Social Activist Deepa Pawar

On the occasion of National Youth Day, Kartavya Sadhana is publishing an audio series titled “In Conversation with.....” The series is comprised of three interviews - Priyanka Mohite (Sports), Deepa Pawar (Social) and Kavita Kuruganti (Agriculture). They are working in their field for a long time. Their lives, work, and their life choices have a lot to inspire young people of society.

In this moving conversation with Deepa Pawar, we touched upon the lives of Nomadic Tribes. Through her own life struggles, we constructed the struggle of the community. Deepa started working at the age of 14. Her love for education and perseverance to change the life she entered into the field of social science. Today Deepa Pawar is the founder and director of Anubhuti, a young women-led organization working for equity, justice, and democracy. Recently she won Martha Farrell Award for the Most Promising Individual category.

National Youth Day is commemorated in the honour of a great philosopher and monk Swami Vivekananda. In 1985, the Government of India declared Swami Vivekananda's birthday – January 12 - National Youth Day. The day is marked to celebrate his life and teachings that have encouraged millions across the world. On the backdrop of National Youth Day, we are publishing comprehensive interviews of people who can be an inspiration for youth.
